Party tents, Commercial, Professional and Traditional Marquees for Sale
Having built and run one of the leading marquee hire companies in the UK, we now use that experience to advise other companies and design and supply commercial quality marquees, linings, and accessories.
Our extensive range includes 52 different sizes from 3m x 2m up to 9m x 18m, including both clear-span and traditional styles.
From economical Party Tents using 240gsm PE, to Deluxe Marquees using strong 50mm galvanized steel framework and heavy 650gsm PVC covers, we have options for all needs.
Marquee covers are typically PE (polyethylene) or PVC (polyvinyl chloride). PE is cheaper and lighter; PVC is stronger and more durable, lasting roughly twice as long.
Materials are measured in GSM (grams per square metre). PVC strength depends on the woven mesh core; we use a rip-stop core with a polyester mesh and every 10th thread larger to resist ripping. All PVC is flame retardant to British Standard 7837.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions when customers call us or come into our show room.
Are your marquees 100% waterproof?
Yes, all our marquees are 100% waterproof. Unlike cheap PE “water-resistant” alternatives, our covers are manufactured from heavy-duty PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Welded Seams: We use heat-welded seams rather than stitched seams in critical areas to ensure water cannot penetrate the joints.
Rain stop sides & Overlaps: Our side panels feature velcro seamed leg covers to seal side gaps and “rain stop” systems to prevent driving rain from entering through the gaps between panels.
Roof Overhangs & rain skirts: The roof covers are designed with a generous overhang and side have 20cm rain skirts ensure water run-off stays well away from the interior space.
Are these marquees suitable for year-round use in the UK?
Yes. Our marquees are designed to handle British weather. They feature weather-resistant PVC that is UV-stabilised and fire-rated to BS 5438/7837. For year-round installations, we recommend using our ground bars and heavy-duty tie-down kits to ensure maximum stability against high winds.
What is the difference between a domestic gazebo and your marquees for sale?
While gazebos are often “pop-up” structures for temporary shade, our marquees are heavy-duty, semi-permanent structures. We use galvanised steel frames and high-denier PVC covers (usually 500gsm+). Unlike domestic models, our marquees are designed to be bolted together for superior wind resistance and longevity.
Can DIY Marquees be erected on hard standing?
You can use DIY marquees on hard surfaces such as concrete, tarmac, paving blocks or slabs. However it is important to consider how to anchor the structure down. Typically heavy weights or drilling and bolting is the method of anchoring a marquee on hard surfaces.
Is it cheaper to buy a marquee or hire one for an event?
Typically, if you plan to use a marquee more than twice, buying is significantly more cost-effective. Hiring a 6m x 12m marquee can cost upwards of £800 per weekend. Purchasing your own gives you an asset you can use for years, with the option to resell it later for a high percentage of the original price.
Can I buy replacement parts or extensions for my marquee later?
Absolutely. One of the main benefits of buying from DIY Marquees is our interchangeable part system. If you lose a pole or want to extend a 6m x 12m marquee into a 6m x 18m in the future, we stock all individual components and extension bays.
Buy Marquee Flooring
Our marquee flooring packages are designed to be easy to lay whilst giving one of the best finishes available in a marquee using new carpet, available in red, green or honeybeige.
Included in each package is a non-breathable underlay, placed underneath the carpet when laying to prevent the build-up of condensation during your event (grass gives off a lot of water vapour if not covered). Grass is very tough so covering for a week or so will not generally cause any harm.
Buy Heavy Duty PVC Marquees
Over many years of manufacturing and supplying marquees, we have tested a wide variety of PVC materials. We now exclusively use Duracoretex™ PVC in all of our PVC DIY marquees due to its superior quality.
Our PVC has been tested in Intertek laboratories and proven durable by many marquee professionals we supply.
Types of marquee framework
We use high quality galvanized steel frames in all our marquees. Galvanizing prevents corrosion and often lasts longer than powder-coated frames. It is also easier to restore.
Our Classic and Premium marquees have a 38/42mm steel framework. Our Commercial and Professional ranges have a more robust frame with ground bars, eaves braces, and gable uprights. These allow splitting ends into two metre sections for greater flexibility.
The strongest frames are in our Deluxe marquees with 50/54mm steel framework, additional leg braces, larger bolts, and steel fittings for the strongest DIY marquees on the market.
