Create porches in your marquee with our gable pieces:
- remove the end wall/window panels, gable uprights and ground bars from one end of your marquee
- now fit them 1, 2 or 3 bays (ie 2m, 4m or 6m) in from the end, however large you require the porch to be
- fit the gable piece above the moved end wall panels to fill the triangular gap
Porches make excellent entrances in to a marquee or act as cover in case of bad weather. They are also an excellent option if the marquee available is too large for the function, simply use the gable piece to create the desired size of marquee with a porch at one end.
Examples:
- In a 6x10m DIY Marquee move the end panels and gable uprights back two bays to create a 6x6m marquee with a 4m porch at the front (as shown in the diagram above)
- In a 6x12m DIY Marquee move the end panels and gable uprights back two bays to create a 6x8m marquee with a 4m porch at the front (as shown in most of the photographs)
- In a 6x18m DIY Marquee move the end panels and gable uprights back three bays to create a 6x12m marquee with a 6m porch at the front
Please note:
- The marquee footprint will remain the same, the gable piece simply allows you to divide the marquee in to a smaller marquee area and a roof-only porch area
- if you divide your marquee to include a porch you may require a smaller roof lining
- as they are roof only structures in bad weather porches require additional anchoring points to a normal marquee
