COVID-19 and DIY Marquees
How we're keeping our working environment safe
The factory is closed to visitors
Our factory in Dorking, Surrey has been closed to all visitors since we re-opened after the initial lock-down in the summer of 2020. Our members of staff who cannot work from home are still working hard to supply marquees to our customers.
Hand Sanitising stations
We have installed hand sanitiser throughout the factory and encouraged staff to use them as appropriate.
Face Masks
We have a supply of KN-95 3D face masks at the entrance to our premises so staff can take them (for free) and wear them either at work or elsewhere.
Space between employees
The office has been split into smaller sections, workspace areas have been increased and screens have been put up to ensure a safe working environment.
How we're helping our community deal with the impact of COVID-19
Creating PPE for hospitals
When the coronavirus pandemic first started we used our experience in material manufacturing, donating our time and cutting equipment to provide PPE.
Providing a shelter for our local hospital
A 3m x 4m Commercial DIY Marquee was donated to Dorking Hospital for their NHS staff to have an outdoor break area. "Thank you so much – We’ve been using the marquee and enjoying taking our lunch breaks in the sheltered out-door space which it has created for us & we thought you’d like a couple of pictures J"
Donating to our local vaccination centre
We're happy to be able to say that we were able to help achieve the goal of £2500 for portable COIVD-19 vaccine fridges for elderly and vulnerable by donating to the Medwyn Centre in Dorking. Our friends over at Dorking Wanderers FC and many members of the public also helped The Medwyn Centre to achieve this goal.
