....i...phone. You know you're getting old when technology starts passing you by, soon my daughters will be setting the video recorder for me :) I feel like I'm upsetting a whole world of marketing people by just wanting my phone to, well, be a phone. If I want to level a shelf I'll get my spirit level, is that wrong?<br>Saying all that yes, iphones and similar can be very useful if you're out on site enabling you to return all emails and things like that. Well worth looking in to.

it is possible to buy some geographic numbers off the internet and have these redirected and using an iphone/skype phone thus avoiding the lion share of the costs involved in redirecting (and time lag in redirecting). As Spencer already mentioned - quite a few people also swear by answering services (i know of q a few big companies do this and it works very well for them).

As long as they're happy to be self-employed it does make your life easier. As I say the only concern is they can turn round and say they're not working without any notice which is where the end of season loyalty bonus comes in.

completely agree, having staff as self employed is a lot easier, you can still have them submit timesheets etc, the difference at the end of the day, they invoice you for work rendered. If your staff are concerned/confused at all direct them to a company like '1stContact' who can sort all the tax etc out for them.

Just collected our 6x12. x4 Rolls of 5' x20' completely ruined. Never seen so much surface water and mud. The under side of the matting was also covered in worms. Took 3 burly blokes to lift each one into the van. Tomorrow I will Jet Wash the mud off, then I Roll it and stand up to drip over night. Then it will be put into the shed with our direct blower set at 40C to blast dry. Fingers crossed.
